Kate trained at the British School of Shiatsu-Do London and since graduating has maintained a busy and varied Shiatsu Practice. She has
taught at the BSS-Do since 1994 and ran a successful branch school in Sheffield before having her two children and returning home to Cornwall. Kate also teaches at the Devon School of Shiatsu.

Kate is dynamic, inspiring and passionate in her teaching method. Two areas of interest she is currently involved with are Pregnancy and Childbirth and the connections between Shiatsu and Yoga. Working with an active birth yoga teacher she teaches informative and empowering birth preparation classes.

Kate is a past Chair of the Shiatsu Society Assessment Committee and continues work for the Society assessing both teachers and practitioners. She is also an Editor for the Shiatsu Society Newsletter. Kate’s main teachers include Ray Ridolfi, Saul Goodman, Susanne Franzen, Hilary Totah and Liz Arundel. Other influences are Pauline Sasaki and Cliff Andrews. Kate completed her shiatsu teacher training with Linda Sharples and Ray Ridolfi.

Kate has also studied Zero Balancing, Craniosacral Therapy, Doula Training, Group Facilitation Skills and has a BA (Hons) in English and Drama
