Doe has been practising a variety of therapeutic bodywork disciplines since 1984 including Shiatsu, Japanese Facial Rejuvenation, On-Site Massage, Holistic Massage, Reflexology, Aromatherapy and Body Mind Centering. She studied shiatsu at the British School of Shiatsu-Do in London and went onto train with international teachers such as Pauline Sasaki, Cliff Andrews, Saul Goodman, Wataru Ohashi and Ray Ridlofi. Doe currently teaches shiatsu and anatomy and physiology at the BSS-Do along with supervision and tutorials for students past and present.
Doe’s passion for movement has led her to qualify as a Dance/Movement Psychotherapist and EXTEND teacher (Movement for the Elderly and Less Abled of all ages). Doe has worked with a wide range of client groups and extensively with people with HIV/Aids and the older adult. She has given shiatsu treatments, movement classes for the Falls Prevention Project in Hackney and run Healthy Living workshops for organisations such as London Lighthouse and Age UK. She continues to study the human body with curiosity and fascination.
Doe has a shiatsu practice in Highgate, North London and Letchworth in North Hertfordshire. She teaches Shiatsu, Japanese Facial Rejuvenation, Working with the Older Adult and On-Site Massage. Doe also teaches anatomy and physiology within professional trainings in venues throughout London such as Roehampton University, The City Literary, College of Psychic Studies, Pilates Matwork, and the British-School of Shiatsu-Do. She enjoys the challenge of making the topic engaging and relevant to each group by integrating theory with experiential exercises and, when appropriate, movement.
